For 2012 and beyond…
I’m not doing the resolutions thing. I’m simply following what I know I need to do. I have already set in motion for 2012 what it is I hope to see get accomplished. Like what? Well, for one I have already released my first album in a few years. I will continue to see that grow. I have already filmed the first video for one of the songs which will be released soon. I ended the year off right by making a few appearances and promoting the brand. So with that being acknowledged I am eager to see what paths lead me to my goals in 2012.
I obviously could not set forth on this road without the help of those who truly supported me as I started this mission in 2011. My wife, my daughter, my close friends, my supporters and the one person who truly also had my best interests in mind. My manager and friend Johnel De Los Santos.
2011 was an eye opener of sorts. I realized that I had to step away from what was no longer a fit for me. That is why I started utilizing other social networks as well as finally making it out to a few of my people’s shows. Cause for a long time I was housed in the box of my personal life and never giving my self the chance to step out of it. So although my support for other artists never changed, I was never physically there. I am truly a fan of my fellow artists. So it always bothered me when i could not make it most of the time. Which is why i started making it out more and will continue to do so in 2012.
Also I realized that I had way too many “friends” on Facebook who I got tired of never knowing and Always seeing their spam. So I stepped away and deactivated that personal page. I am now using Facebook mainly for my music and I have a different page for those who are my actual family friends and people I do wanna know about.
I also made a decision which was hard for me, but in the end it is what I needed to do.
I have chosen to no longer be a part of “El Grito de Poetas”. I wish the remaining members all the best and a continued blessing. I am stepping away to pursue my goals and music. I am thankful for the experience that I have had in the past 6 years. I have a lot of memories which I will hold dear to my heart. It is a decision that I have weighed heavy in my mind for a long while. It was not an easy decision to make but in the end it was my decision and my choice alone to make.
Once again, I do appreciate all that I have experienced and I do hope that my decision will be supported by my peers.
As far as what I have planned in the next couple of months. More videos and also a couple of collaborations that will be for free download until my next album release later this year.
